The Blaugrana have been brilliant in the early stages of the competition

Barcelona continue to set trends in the Champions League. Ernesto Valverde's side closed the group stage with another win, thus ending unbeaten once again. That's now 13 consecutive seasons in which they have reached the last 16 without tasting defeat.

Tuesday's challenge was a big one. Barça had nothing to play for at the San Siro. Valverde's men had already booked top spot and were up against an Inter side who needed to win to make the next stage of the competition.

With a team plagued with changes, Barça took the lead through Carles Perez. Inter did level through Romelu Lukaku but Barça won the game late on when Ansu Fati fired home, becoming the youngest ever scorer in the Champions League in the process.

Barça, therefore, comfortably progressed from what many dubbed as the group of death, along with Borussia Dortmund, and will meet one of the second-placed teams in the next round.
