Barcelona want to tie down young Brazilian star Rodrygo Goes as soon as possible. On Thursday, in Sao Paulo, there was a meeting at Santos' offers as the Catalan club stepped up their interest.
It was a meeting attended by Barça's CEO Oscar Grau, general manager Pep Segura and Andre Cury, the club's man in Brazil. Santos were represented by their president José Carlos Peres.
Barça made a first offer of 30 million euros for the 17-year-old, which Santos didn't accept. They don't want to continue with talks, aware that there are many teams interested in the teenage star.
This was Barça's first move and they're convinced they will end up signing the player, who would join the club in 2020, because it's what the player himself is hoping for.
