The right-back is another potential option to strengthen Barça's backline
Pedro Porro joins Barcelona's list of future right-backs. The Sporting Lisbon defender is having a sensational season and his performances have not gone unnoticed by the biggest European clubs. According to the newspaper 'Record', Barça have recently contacted the Portuguese team to ask for a price without making, for now, any official offer. Atlético Madrid are also keen.
Porro will almost certainly leave Portugal in this summer and negotiations with Tottenham are already advanced. The English clubare reportedly close to reaching an agreement with the player, but refuse to pay the 45 million euro fee. Sporting have been inflexible but everything indicates that finally there could be a reduction.
Barça have a very good relationship with Sporting and this summer they should receive 7 million euros for the purchase of Trincao. In this operation, the Blaugrana would reserve a repurchase option of between 20 and 25 million euros.
Barça would be willing to give up this option if Porro came at a good price -- the real valuation of the right-back is just over 20 million euros.
Barça has already spoken with different options for the right-back position in the new project and the favorites to fill the role are in the Bundesliga. Pavard (Bayern) and Meunier (Dortmund) can leave at a more than reasonable price and Barça are aware of these situations.
