The Spanish U19 side lined up with three Barca forwards but two of them are walking away

The Spanish U19 national team plays this afternoon in Extremadura against Ukraine. Last week they faced Luxembourg. They did it with a goal and with a trident of Barca players up front.

Ilias Akhomach, Ángel Alarcón and Víctor Barberà formed the attack of the Spanish national team. The latter two scored a goal each. They are three of the most promising players in the Barça youth system, although the club knows that it will lose two of them next summer.

Víctor Barberà's contract with Barça expires on 30 June and talks to renew his deal were unsuccessful weeks ago. The 18-year-old has decided to leave the club and sign for Bruges. He has played 23 games with the reserve team this season, scoring eight goals, but the Belgian club is offering him a long contract, better than the one at Barça financially speaking, and the possibility of playing in the first team and in European competition.

Ilias Akhomach will not remain at Barça either. The 18-year-old winger, who last season played three games for the first team and was a starter in Xavi's first season on the Barça bench, has also decided not to renew his contract and leave on a free transfer. His destination has not yet been decided, but Leeds and Arsenal are keen on him. Sevilla and Milan are also interested in his situation.

Ángel Alarcón has decided to continue at Camp Nou. The attacker from Castelldefels, like Ilias and Barberà still at a youth contract age, accepted the offer that Barça made him to renew his deal last January. Alarcón will be a Barça player until 30 June 2025. He was given a termination clause of 400 million euros.

The club has great confidence in him and he is a regular in the first team training sessions, having been included in a good number of call-ups and having already taken part in five games under Xavi's orders.
