Barcelona loan Jean-Clair Todibo to Benfica
It's for two seasons and Barca get a 2m euro loan fee
Jean-Clair Todibo's future has been settled. The 20 year old French centre-back will play at Benfica on loan, replacing Ruben Dias, who joined Manchester City. Todibo went on loan for two seasons to the Portuguese side and they will pay his salary and also pay Barca 2m euros for the deal. They have a 20m euro option to buy.
Todibo arrived at Barca in January 2019 from Toulouse for 1 million euros and signed on until 2023. Ronald Koeman doesn't want him, and he hadn't even been given a shirt number for the season. Jorge Mendes played a part in the deal.
Fulham and Borussia Dortmund had shown interest but made no formal offers for Todibo, who went on loan to Schalke 04 last season.
