The club like his style and he's an alternative to Philippe Coutinho

Real Madrid and Man Utd are also keen on the England player

Barcelona are closely following the evolution of English footballer Bamidele Jermaine Alli, better known as Dele Alli. The midfielder, 21, was chosen as the most promising player in the Premier League last season after an explosive year with Tottenham. The sporting team at Camp Nou, led by Pep Segura, are following the player's progress and feel he could fit in at Barça.

Barça still have Philippe Coutinho in mind for the immediate future but are aware of the difficulty in doing a deal, as their failure to land him in the summer showed. Barcelona, fearing another disappointment, are thinking about other options and Dele Alli has emerged as an alternative.

BARÇA AND MADRID INTEREST

A midfielder who is almost a forward, he can also play deeper, Alli has shone behind Harry Kane -- who is a Real Madrid target -- and scored 22 goals last season.

With Barça and also Real Madrid interested, Spurs are thinking of offering Alli an improved contract. He currently earns 55,000 euros a week and with a new deal, according to The Telegraph, would pick up 90,000 eruos, which would make him the second best paid player after Kane, just ahead of Christian Eriksen.

Alli's price would be less than Coutinho's, who Liverpool asked for 200 million euros for. However, he could still cost close to 150 million euros, which is how much Barça have put aside to improve their midfield.

The player's thinking about his long-term future and his relationship with Impact Sports Management has been broken off, a decision which has provoked interest from the likes of Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola in partnering with him. Both have promised him they'd be able to help him make a huge step forward, with Madrid, Barça and Manchester United the chosen destinations.
