The German sticksman was asked about his form and he says he is doing his best

Ahead of the Napoli second leg, Ter Stegen spoke to the media in the Barcelona press conference. He was asked about his form.

“In the end, people always give their opinions and know more than everyone else. I always try to give my best and, if I was not (fit), then I would not be playing.

“I have a responsibility to the club. I am well, I’m fine. The team has been in good form and I will always give my maximum. That’s football and there are some good moments and others not so good. I will always train to give 100 per cent.

“In these years I’ve tried to improve. There are thing you can’t influence, if you get injured, for a while you can’t work. You have to recover well. I am working to get back to my best. I am convinced that, like with the team, the results will arrive.

“I am analysing my work and I am happy with my performance. I am doing many things well. I can improve, like everyone, but I am here to help the team.”
