Fernando Ovelar is one of the names in bold at Barcelona's offices. The young forward, just 15 years of age, has already made his first team debut for Cerro Porteño and is now standing out at the South American U17 Championships with Paraguay.

Just over a month ago, Barça were on tour in South America. The club's representatives were Pep Boada, chief scout at the club, and Jose Mari Bakero, technical secretary for Barça B and the U19s.

Together they visited various teams, paying special attention to Edwin Valencia (16 years old, Barcelona de Guayaquil), but also to find out a little more about Fernando Ovelar's progression.

Ovelar made history as a 14 year old when he made his debut for Cerro Porteño. As well as making debut, he also scored, to become the youngest scorer in the history of Paraguay's Clasico.
