Malcom and Cillessen could bring in the most money this summer

A defeat as tough as the one at Anfield makes it clear that the Barcelona team needs strengthening in key areas. Barça want to bring in top level players but to do that they will have to sell others.

The Blaugrana believe they can bring in more than 100 million euros. That's without even looking at selling anyone like Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic or Samuel Umtiti.

Malcom

The first to leave could be Malcom. The Brazilian has been one of the disappointments of the season. His role has been limited and, to be fair, he has not been given the chance to improve. The club want to recover the 41 million euros they paid Bordeaux for him.

Malcom is a player who is well liked in Italy. The Premier League is also an option and China has been mentioned in the past. The player is on the market and Barça will now look to get as much money as possible for him.

Benfica after Cillessen

Goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen already has a good chance to leave. He has always played well for Barça, especially in the Copa del Rey, and he's been linked with English and Italian clubs.

But Portugal could be his destination in the end. Both A Bola and Record have revealed Benfica's interest in the Dutch No.1. Porto have also been linked. Cillessen's clause is 60 million but Barça could sell for 30 million. The goalkeeper wants minutes and is ready to leave. Next summer he wants to be going into the European Championships on the back of a full season. That's not possible at Camp Nou, where he's behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Rafinha and Denis

The situations with Rafinha and Denis Suarez are a little different. Both would be happy to stay at Barça, but they're aware they won't get many chances and that they're at a time in their careers when they need to play.

Rafinha, who is out of contract in 2020, was unlucky to get injured when he had become a regular rotation player under Ernsto Valverde. He even took Lionel Messi's place when the Argentine was injured for the October Clasico. His recovery is going well and he should be fit for the start of the season. Last summer, Barça wanted 30 million from Real Betis. Now, though, with only a year to run on his deal, the price could be half that.

As for Denis, an injury ruined his loan spell at Arsenal. He renewed with Barça until 2021 before moving to England. The Gunners had an option to buy for 25 million. He now just wants to play and that could force the Catalans to reduce how much they want for him.

Loans and Cucurella

Meanwhile, Thomas Vermaelen is out of contract and will leave for free. Loanees Jeison Murillo and Boateng will return to their respective clubs. Arda Turan will remain with Basaksehir until 2020.

More money could come in the form of Marc Cucurella, who Barça could re-sign from Eibar for four million euros and look for a new club for him.
