There is optimism that the teenage star won't have to undergo a third operation

Ansu Fati is finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. According to RAC1 on Sunday night, the new treatment is working and, if the feelings remain good, the young Barcelona forward may avoid having to have surgery again.

According to the cited media, Ansu's knee is responding well and there's hope he won't have to undergo a third operation.

He was operated on for the first time in November after getting injured against Real Betis and TV3 revealed in January that he had had to have a surgery for a second time.

A third operation looked on the cards last month but the latest round of treatment has led to optimism.

RAC1 also explain that Ansu will travel to Seville on Friday with the rest of the squad ahead of Saturday's Copa del Rey final against Athletic Club.
