The forward's road back to the pitch has been long and difficult but he's nearly there

After over eight months out, four operations, changes in surgeons and fitness staff, Ansu Fati is back on a football pitch training.

Ansu is recovering little by little after injuring the meniscus in his knee last November. Barça hope he will be back in September, for the game against Sevilla.

The teenager was seen on Thursday training at the Ciutat Esportiva for the first time since he picked up the injury against Real Betis last season.

Ansu, 18, was Barça's top scorer at the time he was injured and he was a big miss for Ronald Koeman for the rest of the season.

Barça hope he will return 100 percent this season to provide competition for places in attack with new signings Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero.
