Barcelona finally lock in opponents for the Joan Gamper Trophy
The Catalans wanted to play with the men's and women's teams on the same day
Barcelona were able to find opponents for the Joan Gamper trophy in the end.
Xavi’s men’s first team will play Pumas, a Mexican side at Camp Nou on August 7 at 8pm.
Meanwhile, the women are no longer playing at Camp Nou, as they would have done against Roma’s side before the Italian club pulled out. Instead they face Montpellier on August 23 at the Johan Cruyff.
The idea was that both teams would play at Camp Nou on the same night, a bumper show for fans.
