Barcelona fear PSG could get involved in the chase for Haaland

| sport

The striker is one of the most wanted players in football at the moment

Barcelona are preparing a move for Erling Haaland. They believe they have a chance of signing him next summer, but it will depend on the competition.

The numbers of the deal are clear, with a fee of over 70 million euros plus commission and salary. So it will all depend on how big the salary and commission offered is and the sporting project. The candidates to sign him are clear, but Barça are especially worried about Paris Saint-Germain, who have not yet got involved.

The French club are still working on renewing Kylian Mbappe to avoid losing him to Real Madrid. They have made a final offer to the French forward, although he seems set to leave when his contract expires in June. In that case, PSG would have to find an alternative and Haaland's the most attractive option.

At the moment, PSG aren't in the race. Haaland's agent, Mino Raiola, didn't mention the French club when meeting with Barça but that could change. Barça know they can blow them out the water financially. Manchester City also want to sign him, but won't break the bank or their wage structure to do so.
