Barcelona eyeing Genoa striker dubbed the new Lewandowski
Polish striker Piatek is impressing in Serie A this season
The transfer window has closed but Barcelona are still keeping tabs on the market for future windows. One possible signing the club are looking into is a player called Krzyisztof Piatek.
According to Italian outlet ‘Il Secolo XIX’, the Polish forward, who plays for Genoa, has drawn interest from a number of European club following a string of impressive displays in Serie A.
One of those teams keeping tabs is reportedly Barça, who could be looking for a long-term Luis Suarez replacement.
Piatek has already scored seven goals in Italy's top flight this season, more than any other player, and has been dubbed the "New Lewandowski."
The 23-year-old joined Genoa from KS Crackovia for four million euros but his value will have shot up since them.
He has just been rewarded for his fine form with a call up to the Poland squad, with coach Jerzy Brzeczek expected to hand him a debut in the coming week.
