Barcelona end their 334-minute goal drought with Ferran's vital goal

Ferran struck the only goal in the 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday

Ferran Torres returned to Barcelona's starting XI with a goal in the win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Starting from the left wing, but swinging a lot towards the centre, he was decisive in breaking down the Atlético wall and the goal drought that had haunted Barça in recent weeks.

Ferran got the Blaugrana back on the scoresheet 334 minutes after his previous goal -- and it had been precisely Ferran who had scored their last goal, too, closing the scoring at Elche (0-4) before the drought arrived.

Barça were held scoreless for the last 20 minutes at the Martínez Valero, in the 270 minutes of the games against Real Madrid (Copa del Rey), Girona and Getafe (La Liga) until Ferran Torres beat Oblak on the verge of half-time, in the 44th minute.

In total, 334 somewhat worrying minutes, although against Atlético there was an improvement in attacking production. One of the keys was precisely the introduction of Ferran.
