Sources close to the club tell SPORT reports there's a deal in place are fake

Barcelona have denied they have reached an agreement in principle for the signing of Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose.

RTVE suggested that Barca were prepared to pay around 35 million euros for the Brazilian forward but sources close to the Catalan club have assured SPORT that is not the case.

Willian Jose is one of the players on Barca's shortlist as they look to sign an attacker following confirmation that Ousmane Dembele will be out for six months. He previously played under Quique Setien at Las Palmas.

La Real are reluctant to sell the striker, too. They are in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey and competing for a Champions League place in La Liga. His release clause is around 70 million euros.

Angel Rodriguez, Lucas Perez and Loren Moron are some of the other players under consideration.

Barca will be able to make a signing on an emergency basis outside of the transfer window after losing Dembele for more than five months. They can only sign a player already registered in Spain or without a club, though.
