Barcelona defender Araujo out of Uruguay's World Cup qualifiers
The centre-back injured his thigh in Wednesday's win over Juventus
Uruguay have confirmed that Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has dropped out of the squad for the country's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Araujo injured his thigh in Barça's 2-0 win against Juventus on Wednesday in the Champions League and will be out for around three weeks.
Óscar Washington Tabarez had named Araujo in the 25-man squad for games against Colombia in Barranquilla and Brazil in Montevideo in November.
Barça have not confirmed how long Araujo will be out for officially but he will miss Saturday's trip to Alaves and next week's game against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League.
The centre-back could return after the international break when Barça travel to Atletico Madrid in the league.
