Barcelona declare teenage star Ansu Fati 'not for sale'

Barcelona want to kill the debate on Ansu Fati before it started and have made it clear to his people that they will not listen to any offers for the winger -- not to leave on loan or be sold.

Barça want the teenager to keep developing at the club as part of the first-team dynamic under Quique Setien. Offers for Ansu will not even be entertained.

The club understand the concerns Ansu's people have. They believe he's ready to play in the first team but aren't clear what the situation is, given he hasn't always played regularly this season.

Ansu is happy at the club but at his age he needs top-level experience. And Barça's plan has generated doubts.

For now, Barça have made it clear that Ansu will be in the first team, although he could help Barça B in their promotion playoffs in July.

Next season, he will be completely with the first team. But the recovery of Ousmane Dembele and the possible signing of Lautaro Martinez won't help. But the coaches have complete faith in him and never wanted him to leave on loan.

In recent weeks, Barca have received a lot of offers. Jorge Mendes even called with a big offer from a Premier League club. Barca's delicate financial situation has not even changed their stance, though.

The coaching staff believe he has huge potential and room to improve. Physically he has struggled at times but that's normal for a kid of 17 who is still growing.

Barça handed Ansu a new deal a few months ago with a 170 million euro release clause, although it will increase to 400 million when he moves to the first team full time.
