Gaya is out of contract in 2023 so Valencia may be forced to sell next summer

Jose Luis Gaya is back on the scene. According to Superdeporte's cover on Thursday, Barcelona are once again targetting the Valencia left-back, who is out of contract in 2023 and doesn't seem set to renew at the moment.

The cited media have compared the situation to that of Ferran Torres, who left for Manchester City for around €20 million with a year to run on his contract.

"About to enter the Ferran zone, Barça are back on the scene for Gaya, while the price of Soler does not stop going up," SD say.

Keeping in mind Gaya will be into the final 12 months of his deal, next summer will be Valencia's last chance to make some money on him, if he does not sign a new deal.

Remember that Barça have tried to sign Gaya before as they seek competition for Alba at left-back. The Spain international, valued at €35m, is one of the best in his position in the Spanish league.
