The midfielder is not playing enough at Valencia for the club's liking

Barcelona are considering the return of Nico Gonzalez in January. Per Jijantes, that was what came from the meeting between Joan Laporta, Mateu Alemany and Jorge Mendes at Via Veneto today.

The club are thinking about cutting his loan short as he is playing much less than expected.

We have to remember that Nico asked Xavi to leave because he wanted more minutes. The midfielder accepted Valencia’s offer after speaking to Gattuso who promised him he would be important to the team.

The reality is that his minutes have gone from more to less and he’s lost protagonism. In these moments, he’s the midfielder used least by the coach, on 231 minutes.

Ahead of him are Guillamon (643), Musah (450), Andre Almeida (286), Iliax Moriba (244), and Carlos Soler (243) - who is no longer at the club.

The midfielder wants to turn things around but let’s see what happens in January if he can’t.
