Barcelona confirm that Gerard Pique has a thigh injury and will miss Levante
The centre-back has been performing at a top level for many years
FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique had to go off in the 1-1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt for Clement Lenglet and the Catalans confirmed his injury.
The centre-back could only stay on the pitch for 23 minutes and this Friday afternoon, after performing more tests on him, FC Barcelona reported that "the tests carried out have confirmed that the player has tendinopathy of the adductor longus of the left thigh. He is out and his evolution will mark his availability.”
Pique has become crucial again in defence under Xavi and has played 38 games this season in all competitions. He has played a total of 604 games since arriving from Man United in 2008.
