Barcelona complete the signing of Arthur from Gremio
Gremio announce that a Barcelona representative will arrive in Brazil this weekend in order to finalise the minor details but an agreement is in place
FC Barcelona expect to finalise Arthur's transfer this weekend. The midfielder, who plays for Gremio, is currently giving a press conference where he has announced his exit from the club. Gremio's director of football admitted that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs but there will be one last meeting on Saturday to close the deal. This will be the last act before Arthur travels to Barcelona and he could be presented as their new player on Monday.
"Gremio and Barcelona are closing the sale of Arthur to Barcelona. We still need to sort out some small, minor details but that will happen tomorrow," announced Gremio's Andre Zanotta. He accompanied Arthur during his farewell press conference, as did Deco Nascimento.
"Arthur will travel to Barcelona this weekend. He's here today in order to say his goodbyes to Gremio," added Zanotta. Arthur, in turn, will become Barcelona's first signing ahead of the 2018/19 season.
