Barcelona coming close to signing Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay’s future increasingly looks like it will be in Blaugrana. Along with Kun Aguero, he is in pole position to help reinforce the team in attack. Both will arrive for free, with their contracts up in the summer.

L’Equipe say that negotiations between Barca and his agents have accelerated in recent weeks and they are close to a deal. That should come in the coming days but not before La Liga and Ligue 1 are over.
The Lyon striker is willing to take a pay cut and won’t be among the highest earners. However, his deal will rise progressively.
Depay would also get a decent sign-on fee. This season he has 22 goals and 10 assists in 39 games, with one match to go. His best numbers in the last three years.
