Barça left it late to book their place in the last 16

Barcelona coach Quique Setien bemoaned his team's lack of effectiveness in the final third as they left it late before beating Ibiza 2-1 in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Antoine Griezmann scored twice in the final 20 minutes to book Barça's ticket to the last 16 after they'd gone behind against the third division side.

"I didn't like the team in the first half. But I understand the difficulties these games present, with the artificial grass and against a really intense and aggressive team that was very good at the back. I would have liked to have been more precise, but it will do us good because we can draw conclusions for the future from these games. When you do things poorly, you can improve them," he said.

The new Barça coach highlighted that he was expecting "a hugely complicated game against a strong team, that played really well defensively" but lamented that his team gave Ibiza life. "They deserve a lot of credit. With the ball, you end up wearing the opposition down, and for that reason, in the second half, we had more success in the first half. It's not been easy."

He continued: "Against Granada, we had more control, but we lost the ball more here. We gave the opposition life and that's something we want to avoid.

"My team was focused but they weren't shrewd in the final third and they didn't have patience at certain moments. But Ibiza played a great game. It's not been easy for us."
