He wants the club to get theur business done as quickly as possible

FC Barcelona return to training on Sunday with the transfer market in full flow. Coach Ernesto Valverde has asked the club to accelerate, if possible, signings and loans.

Valverde's team are back in on July 14, although players that have had international commitments will join up with training later in the month.

The coach is expected back in on Thursday or Friday to start work for the new season. He made an express visit last week for some meetings and to begin to plan for the campaign.

During that visit, he got up to date with movements in the market and made one request: that they accelerate moving players out. Valverde usually adapts to the squad given to him by his clubs and is able to get the best out of them.

The only condition this time is that he doesn't want a big squad, as that means there can be tension in the dressing room among those that don't play regularly.

Barça have made two signings, Frenkie de Jong and Neto. Other names on the table are Antoine Griezmann, Neymar and Matthijs de Ligt.

As for exits, Vermaelen and Douglas are out of contract and have left, Murillo and Boateng's loans ended; Cillessen and Denis Suarez have been sold and Andre Gomes, Marc Cardona, Sergi Palencia and Marc Cucurella, who were all out on loan last season, have also left permanently.

There are three cases to be solved: Rafinha, Malcom and Jean-Clair Todibo. In theory, Barça want to sell or loan all three of them.

Everything else is more complicated when it comes to the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Nelson Semedo and even Ousmane Dembele and Ivan Rakitic, whose futures are linked ot possible signings.

Some of them have expressed a desire to leave and the club are waiting for a good offer; others don't want to go and even have Valverde's backing.
