Barcelona bring forward travel plans due to unrest in Catalonia

Barcelona have decided to bring forward their trip to the Basque Country this weekend ahead of Saturday's game against Eibar in La Liga. 

The Blaugrana will fly to Vitoria on Thursday, where they will stay overnight in hotel before training at Alaves' training base on Friday. 

Barça have taken the decision amid fears their original flight to Bilbao on Friday could have been affected by the strike and protests planned across Catalonia. 

There have been demonstrations across the region following Monday's ruling to sentence nine Catalan separatists to between nine and 13 years in prison. 

Coach Ernesto Valverde will also bring forward his pregame press conference. He will now address the media on Thursday at 15.30 instead of Friday.
