The Catalan club released a short statement on Thursday confirming the split

Barcelona have announced that they have ended their partnership with the company Ownix with immediate effect.

Barça had only revealed an agreement with the company this week to create and market NFT (non-fungible tokens) digital assets.

A statement read: "In light of information received that goes against the club's values, FC Barcelona hereby communicate the cancellation of the contract to create and market NFT digital assets with Ownix with immediate effect."

Following the initial announcement of the agreement, reports emerged on social media detailing that Moshe Hogeg, the president of Beitar Jerusalem and a consultant at Ownix, had been accused of fraud and sexual offences.

Ownix have also cancelled their agreement with Hoges: "Following various publications with respect to Moshe Hoged, Ownix declares that the company has nothing to do with this subject.

"What's more, Ownix announced that it's going to end its consultancy agreement with Hogeg. We also want to clarify that Hogeg does not have and has never had shared in the company."
