A report in England claims Barça offered 74 million for the big Dutchman

Matthijs de Ligt signed for Juventus last summer but the Dutch defender is not happy at the Italian club. He has not had the role he was looking for and could seek an exit, which would put several of Europe's biggest clubs on alert, including Barcelona.

According to the Daily Mail, Barça have already put an offer on the table for the centre-back of 74 million euros. Juve rejected it.

Barça have various negotiations ongoing about possible signings this summer. One of them is with Inter Milan for striker Lautaro Martinez, another is with Juventus for the signing of midfielder Miralem Pjanic. It's here where Barça could also broach the topic of De Ligt, who they also wanted last summer.

The Spanish champions are looking for a central defender, although the cost of De Ligt is likely to be too high for them. It would only be possible if they tried to do a swap deal with Juve.
