Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Takefusa Kubo's explosion at Real Sociedad and are considering signing him in the future, according to the newspaper 'Diario AS' in an operation that seems very complicated.

Kubo left the Blaugrana abruptly due to the FIFA ban and ended up at Real Madrid, who still retain 50 percent of his economic rights.

According to the report, Barça have contacted Kubo's entourage to check his availability. Xavi likes the Japanese player's style if play and believes he would fit perfectly into his future project.

Commercially, the Catalan club would also see this as an exciting option to strengthen their links with the Asian market, although no decision has been taken.

Within the club, they only confirm that Kubo has been followed like many other players but there is nothing more.

The operation would not be easy because Kubo has a €60 million termination clause and Real Sociedad are not selling. Real Madrid have 50 percent of the economic ownership of the player and a preferential option in case they want to re-buy him.

If they put €30m on the table, he would return to the capital, but as of today, Madrid are not considering him. Barça would have to pay the full clause if they wanted to sign him and half of the money would go to Los Blancos.
