Barcelona and Real Madrid's calendar ahead of the Clasico
Barca have far tougher matches to come, with Madrid getting an easier ride
Barcelona weren't able to take advantage of their favourable start to the season to escape at the top of La Liga, with slip ups against Girona and Leganes, when they should have capitalised on Real Madrid suffering at the San Mames and Sanchez Pizjuan.
Now the title contenders are level ahead of the Clasico on October 28, a month away, and Barca have the harder schedule going into that game.
Barcelona have to play Athletic, Sevilla and head to Mestalla for a clash with Valencia, as well as having hard Champions League clashes. Madrid, meanwhile, have easier fixtures after Saturday's derby at the Santiago Bernabeu against Atletico.
