The club and player have long held disagreements in court and now are waving white flags

White flags for Barcelona and Neymar. After various years of quarrel, both sides are ready to put an end to their war in the courtroom.

Per El Mundo, lawyers of the club and the player have reached an economic agreement where Barcelona will let the player off 16.7 million euros he owes them, if he stops claiming for 47.15m against them.

The next trial that was going to be carried out was for the 3.5 million euros that Ney demanded from the club as a settlement after leaving in 2017, and it has been suspended by mutual agreement pending an economic agreement.

On the other hand, there was also the open procedure in which Barça claims 10 million euros from the player as a refund of tax withholdings because, according to the club, he overpaid during his time in Barcelona according to the conclusions of the fiscal inspection the club was subjected to.

Another open front, that of the famous renewal bonus claimed by Neymar, is also said to be settled. The Barcelona court ruled that the PSG player must return 6.7 million to the club and rejected his claim to collect the 43.65 million that, according to him, Barça owed him when he left. The agreement is definitive but both sides seem ready to give up their long fight.
