The Monaco forward thrived at Sevilla and has had a fine season in France

Per L’Equipe, Barcelona are staying alert to Wissam Ben Yedder’s situation. The Monaco forward has 32 goals and 7 assists in 57 games this season.

The former Sevilla forward’s contract ends in 2024, he’s 31 and per the report, wouldn’t rule out a move to Barcelona. For now, the Catalans are focused on Lewandowski.

The Polish striker is a priority and he wants to join them too, saying as much in his press conference on Monday.

Signing a centre-forward is key, despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s good performances. Haaland is off the table now he’s going to Man City, so Lewandowski is the key target. If Barcelona can’t get a deal with Bayern then Ben Yedder is the alternative.

During his time with Sevilla the forward scored 70 goals in 138 games. He arrived in the summer of 2016 for 9 million and moved to Monaco for 40m.
