Barcelona agree to €10 million payoff for former coach Koeman
The club will make the payment before the end of the calendar year
FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Ronald Koeman's lawyers and his coaching staff for a payoff to be paid before the end of the year.
That means Barça have committed to paying the full amount owed to the Dutch coach as well as Alfred Schreuder and Henrik Larsson corresponding to their contracts which ran until June.
Despite Koeman's rocky final few months at Camp Nou, when he felt mistreated by president Joan Laporta, the club have always been keen to reach an agreement with him to ensure there were no problems registering his replacement Xavi Hernandez.
Barça will not even look to make the payment in installments and will instead pay the €10 million owing to Koeman before Dec. 31.
