Barça's Xavi: We are convinced Kounde will be able to play on Sunday

The defender missed the first two games of the campaign due to registration issues

Barcelona face Real Valladolid in the third game of the LaLiga season on Sunday at Camp Nou and coach Xavi Hernandez predicts a "really complicated game against a side that do things really well."

Xavi is also certain Barça will finally after summer signing Jules Kounde available for the fixture after the Frenchman missed the first two matches of the season due to not being registered with LaLiga due to the club's spending cap restrictions.

"It's an issue with negotiations, of fitting numbers within the fair play rules, but we are convinced Jules can be registered," Xavi said.

If that is the case, the former Sevilla defender, a €55 million arrival, could make his competitive debut for the Catalan club on Sunday.

Barça have so far won one and drawn one of their opening matches. They were held to a goalless draw by Rayo Vallecano but responded with a 4-1 win over Real Sociedad last weekend.
