Barça's Umtiti has his arm twisted into considering a loan move
The defender did not previously want to even consider leaving Camp Nou this summer
Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti is beginning to see clearly that his time at Camp Nou is up. In a recent meeting, the club put on the table all the options they were considering for him, from a loan move to the recision of his contract.
The Frenchman didn't consider any of the possibilities at first because he only had in his mind that he wanted to continue at Barça and finish his contract.
However, the pressure put on by the club is beginning to have an effect and he is now weighing up the option of leaving on loan this summer.
Given the fear of being sacked, and the possibility that could lead to a court battle with Barça, he is going to make the best decision for his own interests, considering he is still only 27.
A loan is something he is contemplating and now both the club and his agents are looking to see what options there are on the market this summer.
Umtiti earns around €8 million net and has a deal until 2023. Knee injuries have hampered his progress at Barça and he did not play regularly last season -- nor will he next season.
