After Tuesday's meeting with the players' representatives, no agreement has been reached

Barcelona's managing committee, led by Carles Tusquets, met with the players' representatives again on Tuesday with the aim of reaching an agreement over wage deferrals. The talks were started by ex-president Josep Maria Bartomeu but have been taken on by the managing committee with no board of directors currently in place. However, as was the case in the first meeting, there was no agreement.

According to Catalunya Radio, there are plans for further talks on Wednesday. There are two points of friction. The first is that the club want the measures to be the same for all the players, while the squad feel there are different levels. The second is that the players' representatives don't understand why the 30 percent wage deferral is also planned for the B team but not the basketball team. They are two issues that must be resolved in the coming hours.

If there is no agreement, the club plan to move ahead with the deferrals regardless, unilaterally. In that case, the players could try and take the club to court if they don't accept the adjustments to their salaries.
