The left-back spoke to the club's official media on Friday evening

Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo has recognised that his first season at Barcelona "has not been easy" but he's confident he can show the player he is when football, currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, returns.

"All changes are a little hard," he told the club's digital channels on Friday. "I have arrived at a new club in a new city ... and it's a huge club. I am adapting so that later everything will be better. I want to get back to playing and show the player I am, because I don't think (the fans) have seen that yet."

Junior, 23, said that the dressing room atmosphere is "healthy" and admitted he expected it to be different.

"With these players, who are so good and have won so much, I expected something different to what I found," he added. "They try to make the atmosphere good."

The former Real Betis defender has connected with Ansu Fati -- "We're the youngest and we like to dance" -- while Arturo Vidal has surprised him the most.

"He's the opposite of what I thought," he said. "You see his Mohican and tattoos, but he's as good as gold, a really good person and always tries to make everyone laugh."

Junior is in confinement like all the players and says he's "bored" but is enjoying spending time with his wife and daughter, while he also has time for videogames, like Fortnite and FIFA, in addition to training.

The Barça man has also tried his hand at cooking: seafood paella, a carrot cake and torrijas, a French toast like dessert which is popular in Seville.
