Barça waiting for call from Busquets to start contract renewal talks
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and there is uncertainty over next move
Joan Laporta, the FC Barcelona president, spoke about the possible renewal of Sergio Busquets and left the final decision in the club captain's hands.
The midfielder's contract expires at the end of the season and he must decide whether to renew or start an adventure abroad, either in the United States or Saudi Arabia.
Laporta commented that "right now we are focused on winning the league and Busquets is playing wonderfully."
The president spoke of an "incombustible" player who is the leader of the dressing room: "Without players like Busi, it would be difficult to do what we are doing."
As for contract talks, Laporta cleared up that "at the end of the season, or whenever he feels the time is right, he will call us, we will see the conditions and we will see. He is a player who is performing at a great level."
