Barça train for the first time without Luis Suarez, who's joined Atletico
Suarez trained for the final time on Wednesday before moving to Madrid on Friday
FC Barcelona trained on Friday morning in what was the first session without Luis Suarez, who is now in Madrid to finalise his move to Atletico and start the next chapter of his career.
Barça were back in after a day off on Thursday, when Luis Suarez said goodbye to the club in an event at Camp Nou attended by Lionel Messi and the club's captains.
Ronald Koeman's side are currently preparing for their first game of the new La Liga season, at home to Villarreal on Sunday.
However, they start the season surrounded by a negative atmosphere. After trying to leave the club himself, Messi was critical of the way they dismissed Suarez.
Writing on Instagram on Friday, the Barça captain said: "You deserved to depart like what you are: one of the most important players in the club’s history, winning things as part of a group and individually. Not for them to kick you out as they have done. But the truth is nothing surprises me anymore."
