Barça to travel to Granada for Copa del Rey quarterfinal tie next week

The Catalans will meet the Andalusian side for a place in the last eight of the cup

FC Barcelona will travel to La Liga side Granada in the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey after knocking out Rayo Vallecano this week.

The draw was made on Friday at the Royal Spanish Football Federation headquarters and Granada were the first team out the hat.

Barça came second and, therefore, will have to travel to the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes for the game next week, with the game most likely to be played on Wednesday.

Remember that Copa del Rey ties are now played over one leg until the semifinal stage, when the ties will be played over two legs.

Barça played away at Granada earlier this month, winning 0-4 with braces from Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann in Andalusia.

Granada booked their place in the last eight with a thumping 6-0 win away at third division side Navalcarnero on Thursday.

Full draw:

Granada CF – FC Barcelona, at the Nuevo los Cármenes

Real Betis – Athletic Club, at the Benito Villamarín

Levante – Villarreal, at the Ciutat de València

Almería – Sevilla FC, at the Estadio Juegos del Mediterráneo
