He averages 0.26 goals per game for Valencia

Spain international Rodrigo Moreno is one of the strikers Barcelona are targetting this month as they look to replace the injured Luis Suarez.

While the Uruguayan striker averages around 30 goals a season, though, Rodrigo doesn't have as much success. In this sense, his statistics are much more discrete. His qualities lie elsewhere.

For Valencia, Rodrigo averages 0.26 goals per game. In his best season so far (2017-18), he scored 19 goals in 44 games, an average of 0.43 per game. In fact, only on two occasions has he broken 10 goals. The other season was last year: 15 in 51.

SIX SEASONS

He has scored 54 goals in his six seasons with Valencia and his numbers in the league are 36 in 162, an average of 0.22 per game. In his time with Benfica, he was someone who scored much more. In Portugal, he always broke 10 goals. In his final season in Lisbon, he scored 18.

This season has been discrete, although he scored decisive Champions League goals at Stamford Bridge and the Johan Cruyff Arena. In total, he's scored four times for his club and three more times for Spain. He has only scored twice in La Liga.

LAST GOAL

Rodrigo has not scored since Dec. 10, when Valencia beat Ajax to qualify in the Champions League, although he has missed Valencia's last two games with a knee problem.

Last season, the Hispanic-Brazilian also scored a decisive goal in the Copa del Rey final, making it 2-0 at Valencia beat Barcelona 2-1 in Seville.
