The 16-year-old has been training with the first team all week and could feature on Sunday
Expectation is high in Brazil before what could be Endrick's debut in professional football at the age of 16. The 'menino prodígio', who Barcelona have been monitoring for months, could have, this Sunday, his first minutes in the Palmeiras-Santos cvlasico in the Brasileirao, which will be played at the Allianz Parque, in Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian press assumes that Abel Ferreira, coach of the Verdao first team, will include him in the squad after having trained all week under his direction.
The fact he is not in the U-20 squad for their match has been interpreted as the first step for Endrick to play with the two-time champion of the Copa Libertadores and leader of the Brasileirao.
Endrick signed his first three-year professional contract in July, when he turned 16, so there is no bureaucratic impediment for Abel Ferreira to use him.
In this Sunday's São Paulo clasico, another Barça target could also feature for Santos: the left winger Ángelo Gabriel, who Barça have a preferential purchase optionon.
As Ángelo will turn 18 in December, he will already be able to make the leap to Europe in the next winter market, Barça is analysing him much more closely.
