Barça striker Robert Lewandowski after his match-winning performance: "We are ready for Bayern"

Lewandowski is the talk of the town after his display against Viktoria Plzen. The Pole was named MVP of the match and is determined to follow up with many more.

"I feel great, the Champions League is always special. It's important to stay focused like this. I'm not thinking about the game against Bayern yet. It will be very difficult, but we are ready," he said.

Asked about his hat trick, he said he wants to continue at the same rate. "I want to score as many goals as possible".

Sergi Roberto highlighted the striker's influence on the team after the match.

"It's a gift that he's here and has signed for us. He's going to give us a lot and he's showing it. On top of that, he's a great professional and a great person."

The Catalan has also highlighted the current squad's level and competing for all the titles.

"We've only just started, the season is very long, so everyone in the squad has to be ready. We all have to add up. We have a complete squad and everyone is very good".

Roberto also explained the feeling that the team is closer to the fans.

"Today was very special, from the beginning people have been very excited. We all have to be very united, presidency, players and fans".

Another Barça player who made a statement after the game was Ferran Torres.

The striker came on in the second half and had a good spell. He is aware that this will be his role this season.

"We have to make the most of every opportunity the coach gives us. I'm happy to score and I'm also lucky to provide an assist".

The striker also stressed the importance of starting well.

"It's important for the return of the Champions League at the Camp Nou. The team had already been working very well and today's three points are very important".
