Barca squad to face Real Valladolid on Monday night
No Pique, no Roberto, yes Messi, yes Frenkie de Jong
After a morning activation session at the training ground under Ronald Koeman’s orders, the coach named his squad for the clash with Real Valladolid at 9pm on Monday night, Camp Nou. After Atletico Madrid lost 1-0 at Sevilla on Sunday, the Catalans can go within a point of Diego Simeone’s side.
Barca, since the year began, have only let two points go, in their home draw with Cadiz. They will try to keep chasing down the previously runaway leaders.
Sergi Roberto, despite training during the international break, is not in the squad. Nor is Gerard Pique. Ansu Fati and Coutinho are still out injured.
Ilaix Moriba was included even though he helped the B team win 2-1 against Alcoyano at the weekend. Konrad de la Fuente is also in the mix.
Here is the squad for the game against Valladolid, with Frenkie de Jong and Leo Messi on a booking and in danger of missing the Clasico if they see yellow.
