Barça would not rule out De Jong exit if big transfer offers arrives

The Dutch midfielder is part of the club's plans but sales are needed this summer

Barcelona need to sell players, but the exit operation has run aground due to the lack of concrete offers and the refusal of several players to leave the club this summer.

Journalist Achraf Ben Yad explains that a possible sale of Frenkie de Jong should not be ruled out, therefore, if it is absolutely necessary and an unusual offer arrives in the remainder of the transfer window.

It is obviously an unwanted and unlikely deal at the moment, but anything could happen before 31 August.

The Blaugrana are trying to convince the players who do not fit into Xavi Hernandez's plans that they should look for a way out or accept one of the offers that have arrived.

Returning loans

For now, both Ferrán Torres and Ansu Fati have refused to leave and Barça are trying to make money from the loan players, although that might not be enough to sign the players they need.

In principle, Barça are not in favour of selling first-team players. In fact, the new sporting director, Deco, is fighting to retain the untouchables and make a few tweaks to improve the team for next season.

At the moment, he is not considering any traumatic departure and neither is De Jong, as he is unquestionable for Xavi.

In spite of everything, he is one of the players who has the biggest market at Barça. De Jong does not want to leave Barça under any circumstances.
