There will be a salary limit at Barcelona. President Joan Laporta has decided that signings that join the club after June 30 will be limited in their earnings. The most the club will pay will be €10 million net annually. Whoever wants to come to Barça, will have to make that work.
Laporta hopes to avoid a repeat of the previous mandate, which saw wages spiraling among first-team players as the club threw themselves into financial problems.
