Barça president Laporta meets with Koeman & the first team squad

Laporta also checked in on the club's other sports teams on Monday

After a late night on Sunday, Joan Laporta was up early on Monday to begin life as the new Barcelona president. He began by talking to local radio before visiting the Barcelona training ground.

While there, he chatted with Ronald Koeman and the first team squad -- Lionel Messi had already sent him a congratulatory message -- and also visited the club's other sports teams.

Barça explained: "Laporta has had a busy Monday. Accompanied at all times by Rafa Yuste, both underwent PCR tests to be able to travel to Paris on Tuesday at the invitation of the president of the Managing Commission Carles Tusquets for Wednesday's second leg of their last 16 Champions League tie against PSG.

"Then, Laporta and Yuste visited the football first team. They both greeted coach Ronald Koeman and his staff and also the Barça players in the dressing room.

"Following that both men then made their way to the Barça B and Barça Women training pitches. There, Laporta and Yuste greeted both squads before moving on to the Estadi Johan Cruyff and La Masia."
