The first team squad may reduce their pay to help Barcelona FC

Barcelona's first-team squad and the board see eye to eye over salary cuts to help the club during the coronavirus crisis.

The players and club have come to an agreement in terms of their intentions, although it is just the principle of a deal. There is still some way to go. Both club and players see it as important in this time of global crisis.

Bartomeu is set to meet online with members of the ECA, UEFA and different European leagues. In this encounter, the different formulas clubs can use to deal with the economic effects of the coronavirus will be discussed.

For now the other sections of the club - the female team, the youth teams etc, and other sports will not be affected.
