The Croatian midfielder has long been linked with a move to Juventus

FC Barcelona are not ruling out letting Ivan Rakitic leave Camp Nou in January before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

The club have two offers for the Croatian midfielder, with one of them being from Juventus, who top Serie A and include ex-Real Madrid man Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks.

Among the factors which could see him leave it Ernesto Valverde's departure. New coach Quique Setien may decide he prefers Riqui Puig, whose minutes would be limited if Rakitic stays.

In addition, Setien also has Arturo Vidal, Arthur Melo, Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong competing for a midfield spot.

Sergi Roberto is also a midfielder by trade, although he's been used as a right-back more often in recent years and played as part of a back three in Setien's first game. There's also Carles Aleña, who's on loan at Real Betis until the summer.

In the case of Rakitic, Barça will listen to offers. He has a contract until June 30 and a release clause of 125 million euros.

Setien included him in his XI for his first game against Granada but you have to remember that De Jong was banned and Arthur has only just returned from a groin problem.

The Italian website 'Calciomercato' suggest Rakitic could go to Juve and Federico Bernardeschi could come the other way.
