The statement reads: "Dear Gerard Romero. For the umpteenth time, unfounded news has been published about one of our clients.
"Despite ourselves, we inform those who follow us and above all those who follow you that you have never once given exact information regarding Kessie.
“Ethically we find that it’s a totally wrong way of doing one’s job. So please stop publishing unsubstantiated and misleading information presented as news regarding our client.”
Kessié signed for FC Barcelona last season. The Ivory Coast international signed for four seasons (until June 2026) with a termination clause of 500 million euros. He arrived as a free agent from Milan.
